Artist Statement / BIO

My art is about the viewer's reaction.
I seek and welcome all responses, whether good, bad or indifferent.
Each response to my art becomes part of my Art.
Whether taking perceived known objects and abstracting them,
or creating original objects, it is the viewer’s response that completes each piece.
The results of each viewer’s experience makes my art personal to the individual.
It’s the viewer's response to my art that I am interested in.
I sometimes title pieces but only to help archive the piece.
It could be just as effective to name every piece “Untitled” or have the viewer title the piece.
IT’S NOT WHAT I THINK MY ART IS ABOUT.
IT’S WHAT YOU THINK MY ART IS ABOUT!
